PowerINSPECT is a fully integrated inspection package for use with 3D co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and inspection arms. Combining the dual benefits of strong functionality and ease of use, it allows users to inspect complex machined parts and compare them with the original CAD models, and to produce user customised reports in tabular, graphical and pictorial formats.

Data is transferred from any mainstream 3D CAD package into PowerINSPECT. PowerINSPECT compares the part or tool that has been made against the original 3D CAD model and highlights discrepancies. The integral CAD module allows models to be viewed as wireframe, and users can display the measured points so that flaws can be seen at a glance; dynamic rotation of the model further aids visualisation.
